| Description: | | "Shanti" is an expansive, collaborative theater production that portrays Indian traditions in a unique manner - through western choral and orchestral music combined with Indian classical music and dances, with over 120 people performing on stage. Most performers will be Houston residents.
The message of Shanti is that when we see oneness and interconnectedness in all of creation, then, creativity, originality, freedom, and love prevail. If on the other hand, we see only divisions, then we are left with greed, aggression, and conflict.
Shanti-2010 is all set to become one of the most spectacular theater performances to be held in Houston. This program will be a fund-raiser in support of the All India Movement (AIM) For Service (Seva). AIM For Seva touches the lives of over 2.5 million people in 1,000 rural and tribal villages across 15 states in India. |
